Tackle the seasonal ropes course and climbing tower (available May–November), or rent an ATV from Off Road Adventures to access the community’s expansive woodland trail system—perfect for group exploration (note: personal ATVs not permitted).

Important Information

Check-in and Check-out Procedures

  • Check-in is after 4pm and checkout is by 10am.

Property Access

  • When staying at Moonlight View, guests will enjoy access to most amenities inside of Eagles Nest as well as the River Club amenities.
  • Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsman's Lodge, the Fitness Center, the Wine & Cigar Bar, or The River Club Lodge. These areas require a membership and are not available for guests.

Policies and Rules

  • Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
  • No smoking inside the home. No smoking allowed anywhere on the property.
  • No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
  • Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
  • Children allowed.
  • No events allowed.
  • 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
  • Fishing in the Elk River is catch and release only using artificial bait with barbless hooks. All anglers must have a valid NC fishing license on their person anytime they are fishing.
  • Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATVs. For information about ATV rentals please visit: Off Road Adventures website.
  • Please note that there is no land-line phone in this cabin.
  • All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
  • The 3D Tour shows a larger bed in the loft, but this has been replaced with 2 Twin beds.

Fees and Payments

  • There is an additional $35 per night amenity fee (max $175) in order to maintain the luxurious facilities and features in the development.
  • Firewood may be added to your reservation at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You'll receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles with a fire starter for $25/nt plus tax.
  • Eagles Nest Winery day passes are available onsite for $25.00 each.
  • The summer concerts are open to all guests, however there may be an admission fee for each person and cash bar for food and drinks.
  • This home allows up to 1 mature, well-trained dog with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled with a 15+ day notice will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 8-14 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of their reservation payments. Bookings canceled within 7 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Parking Information

  • The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.

Utilities and Amenities Access

  • All Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.
  • Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment, etc.)
  • Towels and bed linens are provided.
  • Washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, and climate control are available in the property.
  • Smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector are provided.

Safety and Emergency Information

  • Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals.
